Hey, here’s the thing about the Word of God. Not everything you read is going to just be super encouraging. There’s going to be times when the Word of God hits you like a ton of bricks, like a hammer, like a fire, and it’s trying to correct things in your life. Your pastor, your leaders, they’re going to give you messages that are sometimes difficult and hard. Why is that? Why do they do that? Why is Scripture like that? It’s because God loves you enough to say the hard things that you often and I often don’t want to hear. But he’s going to tell us that for our good and for our benefit so that we can go forward, not fall for the devil’s lies and his traps, but we can live under the blessing of God and live in obedience to God and his will, which is where all blessing originates from.
